Actress Ashley Judd might just consider a run for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky. The Kiss the Girls
star said in a press statement on Friday that she is honored to have
supporters encouraging her to run for a Senate seat in her former home
state. While she is not confirming any plans yet to run for office, she
has said it is something she might consider in the future.
At an event in September sponsored by Marie Claire magazine and
EMILY’s List, Ashley Judd said she receives “a lot of encouragement to
run” for office. The idea is something she is open to, saying at the
event that she wants to serve and it could “be time to look at possibly
running for office.”
