At times I wonder, why some men do terrible things to their wife behind close doors.. If you do not want her as your wife, get an annulment, please don't abuse her physically, it is not the best. When I came across this story on net, I couldn't help posting it.

CHRISTY MARTIN, the American female boxing legend who once graced the cover of 'Sports Illustrated', has been shot and stabbed by her husband, according to Tmz.com. The 42-year-old former boxing champion, who rose to prominence during the mid-nineties, managed to stumble out of her home in Orange County and flag down a passing motorist. She was picked up near Apopka's Deer Lake at about 6:45 pm on 23rd November 2010.
Police in Florida say that the driver of the vehicle took Martin to a nearby hospital where it was determined that she had been both shot and stabbed. Despite being in a serious condition, the boxer managed to alert police of the fact that it was her husband, James Martin, who had attacked her and authorities are now said to be on the hunt for the man.
Don King, the legendary boxing promoter who represented Christy at the height of her career, said, "I am shocked and saddened to see this happen to Christy. I send my prayers and well wishes".
