Singer Gavin DeGraw Attacked, Beaten and Hit By Cab

The New York Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the assault on Gavin DeGraw that look place late Sunday night. A spokesperson for the NYPD said DeGraw sustained multiple injuries from the attack, including a broken nose. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and is currently under observation.
“Gavin DeGraw is currently recovering and in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital where he was taken late Sunday night by ambulance after he was attacked by a group of assailants,” a rep for the singer said in a press statement. “He suffers from a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises. The police are conducting an investigation of  the attack.”
Gavin DeGraw had reportedly been drinking with a group of friends previously in the evening and was on his way home. According to police, he was assaulted on the corner of 6th Street and 1st Avenue. After the attack, DeGraw stumbled away and was then reportedly hit by a taxi. The taxi collision was allegedly not serious. There have been no arrests at this time.
DeGraw is currently on tour with Maroon 5 and was due to perform in Sarasota Springs, NY on Tuesday evening. The show has reportedly now been canceled. No future information about other possible cancellations has been released so far.
“Gavin and his family appreciate everyone’s concern at this time. We have no information yet regarding his upcoming concert dates and promotion for his new album,” the singer’s rep said
