Enrique Iglesias has reportedly pulled out of his forthcoming tour with Britney Spears.
Enrique Iglesias, the 35-year-old Spanish singer, has pulled out of his slot on Britney Spears' summer tour, just hours after the shows were announced, reports Tmz.com. Spears confirmed the tour during a pre-taped segment on today's Good Morning America, telling co-anchor Robin Roberts, "I'm going on tour with Enrique Iglesias in June". Fans of both acts immediately took to their Twitter profiles to discuss the heavyweight billing, but Iglesias dropped out of the proposed tour just hours later. It has been reported that plans were scrapped because Enrique, who is currently promoting his album 'Euphoria', would be too high profile to perform as a supporting artist. The news has yet to be confirmed or denied by either of the artist's representatives or the tour promoter Live Nation.
It was originally planned that Enrique Iglesias would join Britney on her tour which kicks off on 17th June 2011 in Sacramento and continues to 26 more arenas. The singer's seventh studio album 'Femme Fatale' was released today (29th March 2011).
